The in-demand master’s degree programs at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular mechanical engineering schools in New Mexico. Located in the remote town of Socorro, New Mexico Tech is a public college with a small student population.

Of the 16 students majoring in ME at New Mexico Tech, 88% are male and 13% are female.
