Our 2023 rankings named Iowa State University the most popular school in the Plains States Region for industrial engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Iowa State is a fairly large public school located in the city of Ames.

Of the 117 students majoring in IE at Iowa State, 69% are male and 31% are female.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, IE majors at Iowa State accumulate an average of around $23,078 in student debt. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $460, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

Out of the 13 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Minnesota - Twin Cities landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Minneapolis, UMN Twin Cities is a public college with a very large student population.

Manhattan, KS
