To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Electrical Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for electrical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the small city of Champaign, UIUC is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 16% of the students majoring in EE at the school are women while 84% are male.

On average, EE graduates from UIUC take out $18,979 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $464.

West Lafayette, IN

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Purdue University - Main Campus is a great place for electrical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the small city of West Lafayette, Purdue is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 190 students majoring in EE at Purdue, 79% are male and 21% are female.
