To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our analysis found Florida International University to be the most popular school for electrical engineering students who want to pursue an online degree in the United States. FIU is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Miami.

After completing their degree, EE graduates from FIU carry an average student debtload of $22,625.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Arizona State University - Skysong is a great place for electrical engineering students pursuing an online degree. Located in the midsize city of Scottsdale, ASU - Skysong is a public school with a very large student population.

EE majors at ASU - Skysong take out an average of $25,925 in student loans while working on their egree. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $290, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Brigham Young University - Idaho. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Online Electrical Engineering Schools list. Located in the town of Rexburg, BYU - I is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.

On average, EE graduates from BYU - I take out $12,567 in student loans while working on their degree.

The excellent online programs at National University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best electrical engineering schools in the United States. National University is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of La Jolla.

Michigan Technological University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Online Electrical Engineering Schools ranking. Michigan Tech is a moderately-sized public school located in the remote town of Houghton.

After completing their degree, EE graduates from Michigan Tech carry an average student debtload of $27,000. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $404, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

American Public University System landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best electrical engineering programs. American Military University is a fairly large private for-profit school located in the town of Charles Town.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best schools for electrical engineering students. It came in at #9 on the list. WPI is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Worcester.
