To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Information Technology program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Southern Maine Community College the most popular school in the New England Region for information technology students working on their associate degree. SMCC is a medium-sized public school located in the city of South Portland.

Women make up 16% of the IT majors at the school.

After completing their Associate Degree, IT graduates from SMCC carry an average student debt load of $16,980.

The in-demand associate degree programs at Springfield Technical Community College helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular information technology schools in the New England Region . STCC is a small public school located in the midsize city of Springfield.

Of the 28 students majoring in IT at STCC, 89% are male and 11% are female.

On average, IT graduates from STCC take out $9,562 in student loans while working on their Associate Degree.

Out of the 27 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Eastern Maine Community College landed the # 3 spot on the list. Eastern Maine Community College is a small public school located in the city of Bangor.

Women make up 5% of the IT majors at the school.

While working on their Associate Degree, IT majors at Eastern Maine Community College accumulate an average of around $20,464 in student debt.
