Our 2023 rankings named Nova Southeastern University the most popular school in the United States for information science students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Fort Lauderdale, NUS Florida is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.

About 24% of the students majoring in IS at the school are women while 76% are male.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is a great place for information science students working on their doctor’s degree. UIUC is a fairly large public school located in the city of Champaign.

About 60% of the students majoring in IS at the school are women while 40% are male.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means University of North Texas is a great place for information science students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the medium-sized city of Denton, UNT is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Out of the 32 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Claremont Graduate University landed the # 4 spot on the list. Located in the large suburb of Claremont, Claremont Graduate University is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.
