Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland Global Campus the most popular online school in the United States for information science students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the suburb of Adelphi, UMGC is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 21% of the IS majors at the school.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, IS graduates from UMGC carry an average student debtload of $24,611.

Statesboro, GA

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Georgia Southern University is a great place for information science students working on their online bachelor’s degree. Located in the distant town of Statesboro, GaSou is a public college with a fairly large student population.

About 22% of the students majoring in IS at the school are women while 78% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, IS graduates from GaSou carry an average student debtload of $29,064. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $119, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
