Our 2023 rankings named University of Massachusetts Amherst the most popular school in the New England Region for computer science students working on their master’s degree. UMass Amherst is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Amherst.

Of the 259 students majoring in compsci at UMass Amherst, 75% are male and 25% are female.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular computer science schools in the New England Region . Located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge, MIT is a private not-for-profit school with a large student population.
