Our 2023 rankings named University of Georgia the most popular school in the Southeast Region for insurance students. Located in the midsize city of Athens, UGA is a public school with a very large student population.
Insurance majors at UGA take out an average of $21,917 in student loans while working on their egree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $160.
Out of the 16 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Florida State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Tallahassee, Florida State is a public college with a fairly large student population.
The average amount in student loans that insurance majors at Florida State take out is $22,334.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of South Carolina - Columbia. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Insurance Schools in the Southeast Region list. Located in the medium-sized city of Columbia, UofSC is a public college with a fairly large student population.
The average amount in student loans that insurance majors at UofSC take out is $25,000. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $591, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

University of Mississippi came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Insurance Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. Located in the town of University, Ole Miss is a public college with a very large student population.
University of Louisiana at Monroe landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular insurance programs. ULM is a medium-sized public school located in the city of Monroe.
The average amount in student loans that insurance majors at ULM take out is $24,616.
With a ranking of #8, Eastern Kentucky University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for insurance students. Eastern is a fairly large public school located in the distant town of Richmond.
University of Central Arkansas did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular schools for insurance students. It came in at #9 on the list. UCA is a fairly large public school located in the city of Conway.
