To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Accounting program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named The University of Texas at Austin the most popular school in the Southwest Region for accounting students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Austin, UT Austin is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Out of the 66 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Texas A&M University - College Station landed the # 2 spot on the list. Texas A&M College Station is a fairly large public school located in the city of College Station.

Of the 216 students majoring in accounting at Texas A&M College Station, 61% are male and 39% are female.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means University of Phoenix - Arizona is a great place for accounting students working on their master’s degree. UOPX - Arizona is a fairly large private for-profit school located in the large city of Tempe.

Women make up 76% of the accounting majors at the school.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at The University of Texas at Dallas helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular accounting schools in the Southwest Region . UT Dallas is a fairly large public school located in the city of Richardson.
