Our 2023 rankings named Walsh College the most popular school in Michigan for accounting students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Troy, Walsh is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.
Women make up 61% of the accounting majors at the school.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Michigan - Ann Arbor is a great place for accounting students working on their master’s degree. U-M is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Ann Arbor.
About 55% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 45% are male.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Davenport University is a great place for accounting students working on their master’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Grand Rapids, Davenport University is a private not-for-profit school with a moderately-sized student population.
About 69% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 31% are male.
Out of the 19 schools in Michigan that were part of this year’s ranking, Grand Valley State University landed the # 4 spot on the list. GVSU is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Allendale.

With a ranking of #6, Eastern Michigan University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for accounting students working on their master’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Ypsilanti, Eastern Michigan is a public college with a large student population.
Of the 29 students majoring in accounting at Eastern Michigan, 45% are male and 55% are female.

Oakland University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for accounting students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Oakland is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Rochester Hills.
Of the 22 students majoring in accounting at Oakland, 36% are male and 64% are female.
Adrian College landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree accounting programs. Adrian is a small private not-for-profit school located in the town of Adrian.
