Our 2023 rankings named University of Kentucky the most popular school in the Southeast Region for biotechnology students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the city of Lexington, UK is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 45 students majoring in biotech at UK, 24% are male and 76% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Central Florida is a great place for biotechnology students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Orlando, UCF is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 53% of the biotech majors at the school.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, biotech graduates from UCF carry an average student debt load of $19,693.

Out of the 13 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, James Madison University landed the # 2 spot on the list. JMU is a fairly large public school located in the city of Harrisonburg.

Women make up 44% of the biotech majors at the school.

Athens, GA

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at University of Georgia helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular biotechnology schools in the Southeast Region . Located in the city of Athens, UGA is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 50% of the biotech majors at the school.
