Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. Our 2023 rankings named Brigham Young University - Idaho the best value school in the Rocky Mountains Region for animal science students. BYU - I is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the town of Rexburg.
BYU - I undergraduate students pay an average of $4,416 in tuition and fees each year. After completing their degree, animal science graduates from BYU - I carry an average student debtload of $22,736.

The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Value Animal Science Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Located in the remote town of Laramie, UW is a public school with a large student population.
